Tourette’s syndrome, also known as Tourette’s syndrome or Tourette’s syndrome, is referred to as TS. Its clinical features are chronic, fluctuating, and multiple involuntary motor muscle twitches, accompanied by involuntary vocal twitches, obscene language, and imitative speech, showing the manifestations of complex chronic neuropsychiatric diseases. 90% of children with onset before the age of 10, the duration of the disease is long, the incidence rate of boys is about 3 times higher than that of girls, there is no obvious seasonality. The course of the disease is more than 1 year, often characterized by ups and downs.
The exact etiology of Tourette’s is not yet fully understood, it may be the result of the interaction of genetic factors, neurobiochemical metabolism and environmental factors in the development process. Although there is no disease name of “tonic syndrome” in the ancient literature of traditional Chinese medicine, there are many descriptions about the clinical manifestations. Most of them belong to the category of syndromes such as “瘛疭”, “Jin Tirou (gf)251a7(/gf)”, “spasmodic disease” and “slow convulsion”.For example, “Plain Questions Yin and Yang Yingxiang Dalun” says: “When the wind prevails, it moves.”
wind. The wind moves up and dry the head, the eyes belong to the liver, and the liver wind enters the eyes, up and down, left and right like the wind blows, neither light nor heavy, children can’t let it go, so the eyes blink even. “
Childhood tic disorder, also known as Tourette’s syndrome or Tourette’s syndrome, I haven’t seen much about it in the past, but I have experienced some in recent years. The course of the disease is long, recurrent, unhealed in childhood, and can be delayed until adulthood.
etiology and pathogenesis
1. Exogenous factors are mostly related to excessive five senses and emotional disorders caused by diet injury, feeling the evils of the six evils, disease effects, watching TV for a long time, nervousness and fatigue and other factors.
2. Insufficient natural endowment due to internal causes, weak body, especially deficiency of spleen-qi; long-term illness without treatment, wrong treatment, and febrile disease damaging yin can also lead to the occurrence of this disease.
Second, the pathogenesis
The main location of the disease is the liver, but it can also affect the lungs and other viscera. Twitching is blamed on the wind; foul language is blamed on phlegm. The pathogenesis of the disease is complicated, and the disease is mostly excess at the beginning of the disease, which is closely related to wind, phlegm, qi, and fire. The course of the disease can change from excess to deficiency, or from deficiency to excess, and there is a mixture of deficiency and excess.
1. Basic pathogenesis: wind and phlegm disturbance.
2. Common pathogenesis
(1) Evil attacking lung and liver
Children’s lungs are often insufficient, and they are prone to external pathogens. Exogenous evils come in from the skin or through the mouth and nose, and they all return to the lungs. If the lungs are affected by the evils, the nose and throat will be unfavorable; Shrugging, frowning, blinking, pouting, kicking and other involuntary movements.
(2) Liver hyperactivity and wind movement
The liver is yin and uses yang, governing catharsis, storing blood, governing tendons, and opening eyes. The liver qi is smooth with Chong and Tiao. Children often have a surplus of liver, and are easily affected by the six evils, and their emotions will be injured, resulting in wood disorders, stagnation and stagnation, turning fire into wind, and seeing twitching phenomena such as shaking, shrugging, blinking, etc., that is, “when the wind wins, it moves”.
(3) Phlegm fire disturbs the mind
Children often have insufficient spleen. If they overeat fat, sweet and thick flavors, the spleen and stomach will be damaged, and the appetite will be lost. The nature of fire belongs to yang, the yang is active, the phlegm fire disturbs the interior, and the qi moves in disorder, so the muscles twitch endlessly; The so-called “strange diseases are mostly caused by phlegm”.
(4) Deficiency of the spleen and hyperactivity of the liver
Insufficient congenital endowment in children, or chronic illness and infirmity can lead to deficiency of spleen and stomach qi. Among the five elements, the spleen belongs to earth, and the liver belongs to wood. Now the middle burner is deficient in qi, and the wood is prosperous in the deficiency of earth. The liver and wood take advantage of the spleen and earth, and the deficiency wind moves internally, so the tics are frequent and weak. Spleen dysfunction, endogenous turbid phlegm, unfavorable airway, blocked clear orifices, and many symptoms of phlegm and water can be seen. The spleen opens to the mouth, and its flowers are on the lips. If the spleen is deficient and the liver is vigorous, the wind will cause the lips to pout and the lips to squirm.
(5) Deficiency and wind movement
Convulsions with the passing of time, or febrile disease damages yin, internal consumption of yin and blood, leading to internal movement of asthenia wind. The scriptures say: “Yin balances yang secrets, and the spirit is the cure.” Yin deficiency in the liver and kidney, loss of yang qi, hyperactivity produces wind, that is, water does not contain wood, yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity cause wind to move. In addition, the liver stores blood and governs the tendons. If the yin and blood in the liver are insufficient, the tendons will lose nourishment, and if the blood does not nourish the tendons, blood deficiency and wind will occur.
The course of the disease progresses slowly, and the symptoms often fluctuate, sometimes good or bad. New symptom can replace old symptom, or some new symptom appears again on the basis of original symptom. In the early stage of the onset, a small number of cases may have short-term remission of symptoms.
1. Typical clinical features, easy to be noticed by others. Tic syndrome manifests as sudden, rapid, involuntary, repetitive multiple muscle twitches and vocal tics.
2. The first symptoms are diverse, the severity of the disease is different, or multiple motor tics and vocal tics appear at the same time, or vocal tics appear 1 to 2 years after the onset of motor tics, or a single vocal tic, that is, a syllable shout, throat clearing sound, coughing, etc.
3. The course of the disease progresses slowly, and the symptoms change from simple to complex. At the beginning, the symptoms of tics are relatively mild and transient. It usually starts from the eyes and facial muscles, and then the symptoms of tics gradually aggravate, and the affected parts become wider, and develop from the head to the neck, shoulders, upper limbs, trunk and lower limbs, forming multi-part tics, and gradually appearing various complex compound movements with strange shapes Tictics, manifested by uncontrollable impulsive touching movements, mimicking actions, mimicking words, repeating words, compulsive movements, or obscene behavior.The specific performance is
Frequent winking, frowning, nose shrugging, pouting, shoulder shaking, head shaking, neck twisting, and involuntary abnormal sounds in the throat. A small number of children have uncontrollable swearing and swearing.
4. Symptoms fluctuate, emotions affect the disease. Symptoms fluctuate in the form of new symptoms and old symptoms alternately, or new symptoms appear on the basis of old symptoms, and there are also short-term relief of early symptoms. Emotional changes have a certain impact on the disease, often aggravated during emotional stress or excessive fatigue, and disappear during sleep.
5. Diverse mental symptoms, difficult differential diagnosis Children with this disease are often accompanied by emotional disorders, learning difficulties, behavioral problems and difficulties in social adaptation. About half of children with ADHD, manifested as hyperactivity, inattention, willful impulsivity and learning difficulties. Severe and repeated self-injury behaviors that cannot be restrained occurred in a small number of cases. Because the disease is accompanied by various mental symptoms of varying severity, it is difficult to diagnose early.
Tourette syndrome is a disease characterized by involuntary muscle twitching of the face, limbs, and trunk accompanied by foul sounds in the throat and accompanied by changes in social function and psychological behavior. In the past 10 years, the incidence of children with Tourette’s syndrome has increased sharply in our country. Unless these children did not go to the hospital before, this is a fact that we have to accept. Today’s high morbidity is not unrelated to the related problems brought about by the rapid development of modern society and economy. For a long time, Western medicine has mostly used drugs such as haloperidol and tiapride in the treatment of tics. Although they have a certain effect, the recurrence rate is high, and long-term medication has obvious side effects. In recent years, we have clinically used traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, ear acupuncture and other external treatments and psycho-emotional therapy to treat the disease, showing the unique advantages of comprehensive traditional Chinese medicine therapy. Now, from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, we will try to discuss its dialectical ideas and methods in the treatment of children with tic syndrome, and put forward some thoughts on the treatment of five-tone related emotional therapy.
Tourette syndrome is a neuropsychiatric disorder characterized by multiple, motor tics or vocal tics. The disease is common in children aged 5 to 12, and there are more males than females. The latest epidemiological research data show that the prevalence of children with Tourette’s syndrome is about 1% to 4%, and there is a clear increase trend. The pathogenesis of this disease is not yet clear, and the clinical manifestations are complicated and repeated chronic neuropsychiatric diseases, which are manifested as brief, rapid, sudden, involuntary movements of different degrees, beginning with frequent blinking, eyebrow squeezing, sniffing, Pout, open mouth, stick out tongue, nod, etc. As the disease progresses, the tics gradually diversify, such as shrugging, neck twisting, shaking the head, kicking, shaking hands, or twitching of the limbs in turn. The symptoms are often more obvious when the mood is tense or anxious, and the symptoms disappear after falling asleep. There are many kinds of vocal tics, including explosive repeated vocalizations, clear noises or grunts, individual syllables, slurred words, improper accent or constant swearing, more irritable, capricious and irritable personality, often accompanied by attention in class Loss of concentration or drop in grades. Action and pronunciation affect study and classroom order when severe, and tic symptom is fluctuant, progressive, chronic feature.
1. Dialectical cause seeking
The symptoms of children with Tourette Syndrome are varied, mainly tics, and they are easy to repeat. Investigate its cause of disease, should be blamed at wind-phlegm causing trouble, and lesion site is mainly in the liver and spleen. This is “every disease is caused by phlegm”
, “all winds and dizziness, all belong to the liver”. Due to children’s “spleen is often insufficient” and “liver is often surplus”, the body is immature yin and yang, the viscera are delicate, the body and qi are weak, the body is not fully developed, and it is easy to be disturbed by many factors such as diet and emotions. The liver governs catharsis, regulates emotions, hyperactivity of liver qi, and liver failure to catharsis, so most clinical children have emotional symptoms of irritability, irritability or timidity. The liver is a strong viscera, the body uses yin to utilize yang, such as soil deficiency, insufficient qi and blood metabolization, and the liver is unable to control, then the wood fire is more prosperous, and the liver wind is more disturbed. In addition, prolonged illness depletes liver and kidney yin and blood, resulting in hyperactivity of liver yang, which leads to more serious mental symptoms such as irritable temper, deafness, and inattention, and the course of the disease is protracted. Therefore, this disease is actually a syndrome of deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality.
2. Trial and treatment
The treatment of tics should be based on examining syndromes and seeking causes, syndrome differentiation and treatment, formulating prescriptions and selecting medicines closely related to pathogenesis. Since the disease is mainly caused by spleen deficiency and hyperactivity of the liver and wind disturbance of phlegm, clinically, spleen deficiency syndrome of phlegm accumulation and spleen deficiency liver hyperactivity are the most common syndromes, followed by qi stagnation turning into fire, yin deficiency and wind disturbance, but all manifest as liver wind Internal movement. Fengmu Wang must overcome the spleen and stomach, so the soil should be strengthened first, and then the wood should be purged. Strengthening the spleen and calming the liver are the key to the treatment of this disease. Therefore, in the treatment, the first priority is to invigorate the spleen and resolve phlegm, calm the liver and calm the wind, and on this basis, pay attention to the application of drugs that reduce phlegm and dredge the collaterals, so that the temper can be strengthened, phlegm dampness will be self-transformed, liver splinters will be developed, and tics will be calmed down. In the process of treatment, according to “soil deficiency and wood hyperactivity”, the treatment has its own emphasis, and the severity of liver deficiency and spleen deficiency is carefully examined in the process of syndrome differentiation and treatment.
3. Dialectical medication
From the perspective of the above dialectical pathogenesis, we believe that the internal disturbance of phlegm wind and spleen deficiency and liver hyperactivity are the two most common syndromes in clinical practice. According to the pathogenesis, clearing the heart and relieving wind, resolving phlegm and dredging collaterals, strengthening the spleen and soothing the liver are the main methods of treatment . According to the deficiency and excess of wind and phlegm, and then according to the children’s constitution, dialectical addition and subtraction medication treatment.
Commonly used medicines include: Gujingcao, Paeoniae Alba, Uncaria, Yunling, Chrysanthemum, Zhuru, Suanzaoren, Curcuma, Fritillaria, Dendrobium, Rush, etc. The curative effect of dialectical addition and subtraction is obvious. Fang Zhong:
- Gujingcao, pungent, sweet, flat, returns to the liver and lung meridian, disperses wind-heat, clears liver and improves eyesight;
- Radix Paeoniae Alba, bitter in nature, cools into liver and spleen channels, nourishes blood and softens liver;
- Uncaria, sweet in nature and flavor, cool, enters the liver and heart meridian, clears away heat and calms the liver, calms convulsions by quenching wind;
- Yunling, flat in nature, sweet and bland in taste, enters the heart, liver, and kidney channels, has the functions of diuresis and dampness, invigorating the spleen, calming the mind and calming the nerves;
- Chrysanthemum, spicy, sweet, bitter, slightly cold in nature, returns to the lung and liver meridians, has the functions of dispelling wind and clearing heat, calming the liver and improving eyesight;
- Bamboo Ru, slightly cold in nature, sweet in taste, can clear away heat and resolve phlegm, and relieve restlessness;
- Suanzaoren, sweet, flat, enters the heart, spleen, liver, and gallbladder meridian, nourishes the liver, calms the heart, calms the nerves, and suppresses sweat;
- Curcuma Curcuma, pungent, bitter, cold, returns liver, heart, lung meridian, cures mainly the circulation of qi and dispelling blood stasis, clearing away heart-fire and relieving stagnation;
- Fritillaria zhei, bitter in taste, cold in nature, used in Taiyin, Shaoyang, Foot Yangming, Jueyin meridians, clearing away heat and resolving phlegm, dispelling stagnation and detoxification;
- Dendrobium, sweet in taste, slightly cold in nature, can nourish yin and clear away heat, benefit stomach and promote body fluid;
- Rush rush, slightly cold, sweet, bland, returns to the heart, lung, small intestine, and bladder meridian, diures water and relieves stranguria, clears heart and reduces fire, mainly treats upset and insomnia, and children cry at night;
The above-mentioned medicines are mild in nature, compatible with each other, and play the functions of dispelling wind and resolving phlegm, invigorating the spleen and soothing the liver. It calms the liver, quenches the wind, and softens the tendons together to achieve the effects of braking and relieving convulsions. Disperses phlegm and dredges collaterals, removes stubborn phlegm, and makes meridian qi and blood unobstructed, then strange diseases will be cured by themselves, and long-term use has no adverse reactions.
Traditional Chinese medicine believes that “when the wind is strong, it will move” and “all winds that are dizzy belong to the liver”, so it should be a wind disease. But the wind has deficiency and excess, and the excess syndrome is mostly liver wind caused by phlegm fire. The child is introverted and stubborn, with depression and anger, thick yellow phlegm, dark around the eyes, poor sleep, red tongue, yellow greasy coating, slippery and rapid pulse. Its treatment is mainly based on clearing the liver and purging fire, just as Zhang Zihe said, “Don’t treat wind, don’t treat dryness, when the fire is cured, the wind is dry.” To subdue wind and subdue yang, expel phlegm, and remove blood stasis, I usually use Lushi Guntan Pills as the main medicine, and Huanglian Wendan Decoction combined with Lingyang Gouteng Decoction for the decoction.
Case 1: Zhou Moumou, male, 16 years old, middle school student. First visit on October 11, 1999. The onset occurred suddenly in late June, with abdominal paroxysmal twitches dozens of times a day, confused mind, and decreased academic performance. At the moment of attack, the abdomen twitched involuntarily. Upset and irritable, swearing, restless sleep at night, nausea, thick yellow phlegm, good diet, but often acid vomiting, dry stool, red tongue, yellow greasy and dry fur, stringy and slippery pulse. Naofukang, sodium valproate and traditional Chinese medicine (Magnet, Pinellia, Trichosanthes, Juhong, Fructus Aurantii, Toosendan, Mica, Peach Kernel, Safflower, Dalbergia, Agarwood, Gallinaceae, Algal Ginger) have been used locally , licorice, grass cardamom, pig iron off) no significant effect.
Traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions are good in terms of phlegm and blood stasis, but the prescribers ignore the main contradiction of fire.Covering phlegm and blood stasis are all caused by burning of fire and coagulation of body fluid, so use
① Suanshi Guntan Pill 9g, swallow once a day;
②Ginger Pinellia 15g, Poria 15g, Citrus aurantium 15g, Zhuru 6g, Tangerine Peel 10g, Coptis 6g, Dannanxing 10g, Uncaria 30g, Zaoren 30g, Salvia miltiorrhiza 30g, Shicai Ming, oyster 30g each, red peony root and white peony root 15g each , 10g Gastrodia elata, 6g scorpion, 2 centipedes, 60g raw coix seed, 15g ochre, 10g fennel, decocted in water, 1 dose per day. The next day after taking the medicine, I had smooth stools and no more convulsions. After more than 10 doses, I came back for a follow-up visit, and there was no attack. However, I had stomach pain, less food, and greasy fur. , Chinese angelica, dandelion, Jiao Sanxian recuperative power. Follow up a case by regular visits to after 1 year, everything is normal, only academic performance is still not good.
Case 2: In 1991, Jiang X, a 7-year-old boy from Zengzhi Shandong Province, suffered from fright and head trauma, buttock muscle twitching, ten fingers twitching, muscle tension all over the body, unable to urinate, smirking, and restless sleep. He had not slept for several days when he came to the clinic, with dull expression, barking and cursing, twitching of fingers and buttocks, red face, red tongue, yellow and greasy fur, bad breath, and refused pulse diagnosis. The syndrome belongs to phlegm-fire holding blood stasis up and disturbing the mind. To clear the heart, purging fire, falling phlegm and removing blood stasis, take Rolling Tan Pill 6g, twice a day, on an empty stomach. Paonanxing, Fabanxia, Polygala, Poria, Coptis, Citrus aurantium, Pig Tieluo, Shichangpu, Salvia, Radix Paeoniae Alba, and Peach Kernel are used for decoction. After a few days, the convulsions will stop, and the sleep mood will improve. During the follow-up visit, her parents wrote back that she still had seizures from time to time only with the decoction, and it could be controlled with the addition of rolling tan pills.
As for wind deficiency, according to my superficial experience, there is a difference between yin and blood deficiency and soil deficiency.
Deficiency of yin and blood: multiple muscle groups twitch simultaneously or in succession, frequent eye winking, frowning, nose shrugging, lip pouting, shoulder shrugging and shaking of the head, sometimes accompanied by “squeaks” in the throat. Body of the tongue is reddish, rapid pulse. This kind of children often play computer games intently, which is caused by “long-term vision damages the blood”. The treatment should be to nourish the blood and quench the wind. Maju powder (Gastrodia elata, chrysanthemum, Shengdi, angelica, white peony root, and Chuanxiong) is the main prescription.
Case 3: Cai Moumou, male, 12 years old, primary school student. First visit on November 20, 2001. He is healthy and overweight. He went to Shanghai for vacation and played game consoles every day. After returning to Beijing, he experienced involuntary twitching of the corners of his left eye and mouth, which later developed into shrugging of his shoulder and neck. He was treated in a hospital for ADHD but failed. Immediate diagnosis: red eyes, blinking constantly, left corner of eye and mouth twitching from time to time, red tongue with less coating, thready pulse, normal diet, sleep and bowel movements. Intended to nourish blood, quench wind, clear away heat: Rehmannia 12g, Radix Paeoniae Alba 10g each, Salvia miltiorrhiza 10g, Antelope powder 2g, Second Chongtun, Uncaria 15g, Gastrodia elata 10g, Chrysanthemum 10g, Scorpion 6g, Bombyx mori 6g, Shijue Ming 30g, papaya 10g, gardenia 6g, coptis 6g, mother-of-pearl 30g, obviously improved after 1 week, Yi Fang added mulberry leaves, angelica, fennel, mulberry root, kudzu root, and healed in about 1 month, and then intermittently If there is a seizure, use the above addition and subtraction to control it. Follow up so far, everything is fine.
Equisetum: Evidence of involuntary twitching of multiple muscle groups, accompanied by fatigue, frequent yawns, irritability, and facial puffiness. Girls may have profuse leucorrhea, pale tongue, and thin greasy fur. The syndrome belongs to deficiency of the spleen and hyperactivity of the liver. Treatment should be to invigorate the spleen and soothe the liver. Huangqi Chifeng Decoction and Liujunzi Decoction are commonly used in addition and subtraction.
Case 4: Han Moumou, female, 12 years old, middle school student. First visit on August 11, 2001. The corner of the left eye and mouth twitched for several months. Fatigue easily, feeling very tired, unable to run 500 meters, often yawning, irritable, dark around the eye sockets, less menstruation. Pale tongue with scalloped edges, floating and weak pulse. Treatment plan to benefit qi and soothe the liver: 35g astragalus, 10g each of red peony and white peony root, 10g of windproof, 12g of poria, 10g of mulberry branch, 10g of uncaria, 10g of Gastrodia elata, 10g of angelica, 10g of Chuanxiong, 12g of fried coix seed, 12g of salvia miltiorrhiza, 12g of sage 10g. 12 doses. After taking the medicine, there was basically no more twitching, and the spirit improved, and the leucorrhea was like rice swill, and the stool was loose. Add Cang, Atractylodes macrocephala, Codonopsis pilosula, roasted licorice, wheat, jujube, keel, fried oysters 20g each, coix seed 30g, sarsaparilla 30g, and they were cured for more than 2 months.
4. TCM treatment methods
On the basis of traditional Chinese medicine treatment, we use acupuncture, ear acupuncture, back low-frequency pulse electrotherapy, and Guqin five-tone emotion regulation five-in-one comprehensive therapy for some severe and recurrent tic children. More and more The patient’s condition has been well controlled.
1. Acupuncture treatment:
Acupuncture and moxibustion take Taichong, Taixi, Sanyinjiao, Hegu, Yintang, Ganshu, Quchi, Neiguan, Shenmen and other points.
- Anxiety and palpitation with Xinshu;
- Wink eyes, shrug nose to match the sun, welcome fragrance;
- The spat and twitch are equipped with a ground warehouse and a cheek car.
The needle is inserted quickly, and the needle is replenished and relieved, and the needle is not retained after degassing. The two acupoints Taichong and Hegu are the main acupoints, and they are the original acupoints of the liver and large intestine meridian respectively. The combination of the two acupoints has the effect of soothing the liver and relieving stagnation, opening the organs, calming the liver and calming the fire. Children with severe symptoms obtained good results by using the above-mentioned acupuncture treatment while taking traditional Chinese medicine.
2. Auricular point pressure bean therapy:
According to the meridian theory, “Lingshu” says: “The ear is where the ancestral veins gather.” The twelve meridians are all directly connected with the ear. Therefore, when a disease occurs in the human body, certain reaction points will appear in the corresponding area of the ear shell. Through the close connection between the ear meridians and viscera, the corresponding acupuncture points on the auricle are stimulated by pressing seeds to adjust the functions of viscera through the meridians to achieve the treatment of diseases. Ear pressure therapy is to press on these reaction points to achieve the purpose of treating diseases.
Shenmen, liver, sympathetic, endocrine, brain point, subcortical, etc. are often used.
- The main points of endocrine and sympathetic have the function of mediating endocrine and autonomic dysfunction;
- Shenmen has the functions of sedation, calming the nerves, lowering qi, and antitussive;
- The subcortex mediates the excitation and inhibition of the cerebral cortex.
Select the above auricular points to mediate the functions of viscera, calm the mind and calm the nerves, so that these corresponding parts can activate blood and unblock the collaterals, and achieve the purpose of recovery.
3. Low frequency pulse electrotherapy:
Take the liver acupoints on the back, apply traditional Chinese medicine patches, and use low-frequency pulse electrophoresis therapy. It has the functions of qi and pain relief, and can reduce the heat of the liver.
4. Exploring five-tone emotional therapy:
The five tones come from “Lingshu Xieke”, referring to the five tones of Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zheng, and Yu. The ancients matched the five tones with the five viscera:
- The spleen responds to the palace, its voice is diffuse and slow;
- The lung responds to the quotient, and the sound accelerates to clear;
- The liver responds to the horn, and its voice grows;
- The heart should signify, and its voice is clear;
- The kidney responds to the feathers, and the sound is deep and thin, which is the correct sound of the five internal organs.
According to the “Book of Rites · Music Book Nineteenth”: “Every sound is the one that gives birth to the heart. Emotions are in the middle, so the shape is in the sound. The sound is written, which is called sound. The general idea is that music comes from people’s hearts. , is the voice that expresses inner emotions. “Zuo Zhuan” even said that music has a taste like medicine, which can make people free from all diseases and live a long and healthy life. The ancient aristocratic courts were equipped with band singers, not just for entertainment, but also for a The important function is to use music to calm the mind and nourish the body and mind. These five scales are respectively endowed with the attributes of the five elements by Chinese traditional philosophy: wood (corner), fire (sign), earth (palace), gold (business), water ( Yu). This point is precisely used by Chinese medicine. Music can penetrate into the hearts of the people. In the psychology of Chinese medicine, music can infect, regulate emotions, and then affect the body. In listening, let the melody, emotion, and visceral energy resonate and interact to achieve turmoil The role of blood vessels, unobstructed spirit and heart vessels.
Physiologically, when the music vibration matches the physiological vibration in the human body (heart rate, heart rhythm, respiration, blood pressure, pulse, etc.), physiological resonance and resonance will occur. This is the physical and mental basis of “five-tone therapy”. “All diseases arise from qi”, this “qi” is not only emotions, but also the dirty qi of the five internal organs. According to each person’s own body structure and the difference in visceral qi of the five internal organs, with different music, the five tones can prevent diseases and nourish the body. Of course, it is not to use a single tone to regulate a certain organ, but to use the principle of the five elements to make them mutually generate, restrain and restrict each other. The five tones are matched and combined to properly highlight a certain tone to harmonize the body.
Guqin music is the best choice for traditional Chinese medicine to use music to preserve health and treat diseases. This is because the design of Guqin is the condensation of traditional Chinese views on the universe, society and values. Its structure contains the dialectical thoughts related to yin and yang, five elements, human and nature. Qin music mainly uses the pentatonic scale, that is, the five positive tones. Each of the five viscera has its corresponding dominant tone. When the five tones enter the human body, they will cause harmonious synchronous resonance of human cells and tissues, and then can adjust the physiological functions of the human body. This is the basic principle of Guqin music for health preservation and treatment of diseases.
According to the related theory of five tones and five viscera:
- If you want to tune into your heart, you can choose representative songs: “Fisherman’s Song”, “Wen Wang Cao”, “Mountain Dwelling Song” and so on;
- The horns are transferred to the liver, and the representative songs can be selected as: “Liezi Yufeng”, “Zhuang Zhou’s Dream of Butterfly”, etc.;
- Gong Tune into the Spleen, the representative songs that can be selected are: “High Mountain”, “Flowing Water”, “Yangchun”, “Three Lanes of Plum Blossoms”, etc.;
- Shang tune into the lungs, the representative songs can be selected as: “Bai Xue”, “Changqing” and so on;
- Feather is tuned into the kidney, and the representative songs that can be selected are: “Childish Chaofei”, “Wu Ye Cry” and so on.
To sum up, in the clinical treatment of Tourette Syndrome, it not only highlights the principle of syndrome differentiation and treatment, but also takes into account the flexibility of using different medicines depending on the syndrome. The use of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, ear acupuncture, low-frequency pulse electrotherapy, five-tone emotional adjustment, and five-in-one therapy avoids the factors of slow onset of treatment with traditional Chinese medicine alone. The combined use of acupuncture, medicine, and acupoints has stable curative effect, small side effects, and is safe and reliable. has obvious advantages. The “five-in-one therapy” of acupuncture, medicine and acupoints comprehensively regulates the etiology and pathogenesis, which not only improves the curative effect, but also greatly reduces the recurrence rate of the disease.
Folk secret recipe “Kai Kai Lian”
Child surnamed Tong, male, 4 years old, first visit on September 10, 2014. The child has been in kindergarten for less than a year, and the teacher has repeatedly reported to the parents that the child is inattentive in learning, mischievous, slapstick, making faces, and affecting other children.
Parents complained: Since birth, the child has trouble sleeping, crying at night, grinding teeth, sweating a lot, loves to drink water, refuses to eat, has dry stool, itchy skin, short stature, develops later than ordinary children, but does not often catch colds.
I went to the hospital for an examination and found that there was no other problem. Western medicine diagnosed it as “ADHD” and told me that there was no good way. His complexion was yellowish with white, his skin was rough, his tongue was light red with a thin yellow coating, and his pulse was thready.
Prescription: Coptis 30g, rhubarb 50g, woody fragrance 10g, citrus aurantium 10g, betel nut 10g, black medicine 10g, nepeta 10g, mint 10g, windproof 10g, uncaria 10g, cicada slough 10g, silkworm 10g, forsythia 10g, cow 10g , turmeric 10g, lotus leaf stalk 10g, rush 10g, chicken dung vine 50g, hawthorn 30g, black snake 50g. 1 dose is a water pill, 2 times a day, 3g each time, taken with boiled water before going to bed.
What is “Kailian”?
(1) Kaikailian is a folk prescription that has been passed down for hundreds of years
Kaikailian is a folk prescription that has been passed down for hundreds of years in Hunan and other regions, and many old medicine workers can prepare it.
Generally, there are 17 herbs in total, namely Coptidis Rhizoma, Rhubarb, Woody Fragrance, Citrus aurantium, Betel Nut, Cinnabar, Nepeta, Mint, Fangfeng, Uncaria, Cicada, Silkworm, Forsythia, Arctium, Curcuma, Lotus Leaf, rush. Some prescriptions also add Chuanbei, or add licorice and honeysuckle. Two or three grams of each medicine, decocted and taken.
The overall effect is to clear heat and detoxify, regulate qi and relieve constipation, dispel wind and calm the nerves.
Consuming Kailian immediately after the baby is born can expel fetal toxin, calm wind and relieve convulsions. Since then, I have smooth stools, good appetite, good sleep, no eczema, no boils.
(2) Suitable for babies born to parents who often get angry
I often prescribe it to newborn babies, especially those parents who often get angry, and the curative effect is particularly good after taking it. Generally take it for 3 days, feed 1-2 times a day, 1-2 spoons each time.
